One of my favourite (British spelling, why not add a vowel when you live here?) Disney movies was (is) Beauty and the Beast. There is a song that's been stuck in my head. Belle (reprise). She's singing in an open beautiful field dreaming of a life full of adventure. The lyrics are:
"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere
I want it more than I can tell
And for once it might be grand
To have someone understand
I want so much more than they've got planned"
Let's break this down.
"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere,
I want it more than I can tell."
I've been singing these lines for the past 20 years and I just realized, it has come true. I've got plenty of adventure in the great wide somewhere. Living in Scotland has opened up huge opportunities to travel and dive head first into adventure. In the past year I've been on so many amazing trips with the most amazing man. I don't see my future changing anytime soon. This brings me to the next part of the song:

I'm married to someone who completely understands me. He thinks I'm nutzo a lot of the time, but he knows how my brain works and I love him for it. Yes Belle, it is Grand!
I write this to say, I am so blessed and thank God daily for my amazingly charmed existence.
